Today, the official opening of the robotics classroom took place at Petropavlovsk secondary school No. 7. This is the second facility implemented by the Saby Foundation as part of its program to develop STEM education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The first class of robotics was opened in October 2021 at school No. 174 in Almaty.
The Foundation carried out a complete reconstruction of the former gaming hall: the wooden floor was replaced with a concrete floor covered with wear-resistant linoleum, the windows were restored, the walls were decorated, new doors were installed, the power supply and lighting system was modernized.
The classroom is equipped with the most modern interactive technology, educational kits "Internet of things", Lego, "Amperka", "Matryoshka", 3D printer, unmanned aerial vehicle, sensors, robots, constructors and other innovative equipment for schoolchildren from 1 to 11 classes were purchased. Installed new ergonomic furniture.
The total repair area is 80 sq. m. The cost of the project was 30 million tenge.
In addition to repair and equipping, a training master class in the discipline "Robotics" was held especially for teachers of computer science in several schools of the city using new equipment.
We are confident that the opening of such classes, especially in the regions, will give students the opportunity, through immersion in the fascinating world of robotics, to freely navigate the modern world of high technology.
