The Service “Invataxi” begins to operate in Astana

On the City Day, Saby Foundation has prepared a present to disabled persons living in Astana: four vehicles of «Invataxi» - two Volkswagen Transporter and two Volkswagen Caddy. The fifth motor vehicle– a large bus Volkswagen Сrafter is currently being re-equipped at the manufacturing plant in Germany and will arrive later.

After all necessary legal and administrative procedures, special motor vehicles will serve the most socially defenseless sections of the population in Astana: persons with disability of 1st group, including those, who use wheelchairs.

The development of «Invataxi» in the most important city of Kazakhstan has become the next stage in the implementation of a large-scale project «Decent Life for Disabled Persons», which purpose is to cover all regions of the country and to facilitate a social integration of disabled persons.

The motor vehicles will be transferred from the Almaty reserve of Almaty City Association of Disabled Persons. Once financing of the specialized service has been initiated, our Foundation will undertake to purchase the same number of vehicles duly completed and to return them to the Centre for Rehabilitation Services.
