VI Contest “Build Your Business” finished

The 6th Annual Build Your Business Contest is over. The winners are announced and we sincerely congratulate them and wish great success in promoting their business.

Over the 17 years of work the Saby Foundation has become a resource center, where many of its social initiatives have been successfully implemented. Therefore, this Contest is held at the Foundation site, since it is truecharity project. Winners receive grants for free; we do not collect interest from them and do not take away part of the business. Our only desire is to help young start-up entrepreneurs get on their feet and take their first steps in business. Our assistance is compound in nature, because, in addition to financial support, most of the finalist projects receive their first orders for products and services from the Fund as well as marketing support, preferential rent and so on.

We also pay great attention to business education for young startuppers. The first to support us in this direction was Ernst & Young (a British audit consulting company, one of the largest in the world, a member of “Big Four” audit companies), which this year was the official partner of the Contest. The organization's specialists conducted a series of training lectures and individual consultations for our finalists, thereby contributing to the development of the young generation of entrepreneurs.

Today the society is becoming more and more aware of the systemic nature of assistance to non-profit organizations, when large companies contribute to the activities of non-profit organizations not only financially, but also share their professional skills and capabilities through organization of educational activities and creating of various educational clusters. It is hoped that an excellent example of E & Y will find understanding and encourage other major players to participate in the “Build Your Business” project.

Despite its charitable component our contest is aimed primarily at supporting projects with a promising business model of its development. Therefore, a high-quality knowledge base from the “business sharks” is also a certain starting capitalfor them.

We also support projects in the social sphere, and perhaps future contests will focus entirely on the development of social entrepreneurship. But, at the moment, our efforts are focused on growing a cluster of strong businessmen from start-up business entrepreneurs who, in their turn, will be able to help weaker ones in the future (such an effect when you throw a stone into the water).

For our part, we will make every effort for “Build Your Business” Consents to continue its development and, in partnership with the largest representatives of the business community and to play the role of a certain “social elevator” for the youth of our country.
