Joining the UN Global Compact

We are pleased to announce that the Saby Foundation has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the largest international initiative in the field of sustainable development.

Over the course of 22 years of activity, our foundation has been implementing projects that directly reflect the principles and goals of sustainable development. This includes the equipping of medical institutions and the opening of emergency pediatric surgery departments in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the construction of socially significant facilities (Children's Home, Center for Social Adaptation of Youth, secondary schools), sports and playgrounds, Robotics Centers, issuance of educational grants, support for talented youth and beginners entrepreneurs, organizing Invataxi services for people with special needs, preserving the Caspian seal population, etc.

“Sustainable development is a combination of social, natural and environmental aspects, expressed in 17 SDGs, the general message of which is responsibility for our present and future, for the kind of world our children will live in. The Sustainable Development Goals and the ESG agenda today are no longer the future - they are the reality in which we live and which must be taken into account.

In my opinion, one of the criteria of a progressive society is the attitude of society towards charity and the involvement of citizens in the social life of their country. This is a strong civil society, and the community of foundations and volunteers is a micromodel of a strong civil society,” Aselle Tasmagambetova.

By publicly declaring our commitment to the ten universal principles and initiatives of the UN GC, we undertake to contribute in every possible way to the formation of a sustainable open economy and a responsible civil society.
